FROM PEÑA TO PEÑA... AND I TAKE MY SHOT!

What a peñistic weekend we had! It all started on November 15th in Burgos, celebrating the 15th anniversary of Peña Gamonal. Around 11 a.m., a bus picked us up (yes, like a school trip, but with more excitement and zero homework) and took us to the Peña. They gave us a full tour and treated us to an aperitif that was absolutely delicious. Between tapas and laughter, we could already feel the special Peña magic.

Afterwards, back on the bus and off to Hotel La Hacienda, where over 24 Peñas (including three international ones) were waiting for the big brotherhood meal. Before diving into the feast, we attended the book presentation of “Merece la Peña”, hosted by the author herself, together with Patricia Cazón from As and the legends Rubi and Pizo. The three brought humor, warmth, and that special Peña vibe that made everything feel extra special.

The meal was incredible: dishes that made your mouth water, an atmosphere that made everyone want to sing, and a raffle that put the cherry on top of the day. The party afterwards confirmed what we all know: when Peñas come together, fun is guaranteed!

But our Peña adventure didn’t end there. The three representatives of Peña Atlética from Germany – Carmen, Henrik, and Nieves – continued on to León for the 9th anniversary of Peña “Nunca Dejes de Creer,” where we were also invited. We arrived a bit late, but the atmosphere was already amazing: an impressive dinner, laughter everywhere, and that feeling of being among friends that makes everything worthwhile.

And then the raffle! Nieves, with number 513, almost won the entire butcher’s shop… imagine everyone’s faces! Between jokes, laughter, and a few cheeky comments, that moment became an unforgettable anecdote.

In short: two cities, two anniversaries, a fantastic double, friends, amazing food, endless laughter, and lots of Peña spirit. That’s how you travel, celebrate, and enjoy life!
